Look beyond a single search index.
A search index is a view of the web. Different providers discover, rank, and display pages differently. Comparing their results can help when one familiar query keeps returning the same answers.
Start with a useful question
Include the subject and the detail you actually need: a product version, a date, a primary source, or a place. A focused query makes the overlap and differences between indexes easier to assess.
Follow the original source
A result is a pointer. Open the original page, check its date, and distinguish first-hand information from a summary. Multiple indexes returning the same statement is not the same as independent confirmation.
What powers DRK Search
Our self-hosted search service combines available upstream results and shows their source indexes. Availability varies by provider. Search queries are processed by the underlying engines; an interface without ads is not a promise of anonymity.
